Plagiarism and AI Policy

Research Churning (अन्वेषण मंथन) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical scholarly publishing. The journal adopts a strict policy against plagiarism and the inappropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the preparation and submission of manuscripts.

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be the original and unpublished work of the author(s). Authors are expected to ensure that all sources of information, ideas, data, figures, and quotations are properly acknowledged through appropriate citation and referencing.

The journal has a zero-tolerance policy toward:

·         Direct plagiarism,

·         Self-plagiarism or redundant publication,

·         Data fabrication or falsification,

·         Duplicate or simultaneous submission,

·         Citation manipulation,

·         Image manipulation,

·         Any other form of academic misconduct.

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of unethical copying may be rejected without review or returned to the authors for clarification and revision. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, retract the article, and notify the relevant institutions if necessary.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Research Churning recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are increasingly used in academic environments. However, to preserve the authenticity and originality of scholarly work, the journal requires that manuscripts primarily reflect the authors' own intellectual contribution and critical analysis.

Permitted Use of AI

AI-based tools (such as grammar and language editing software) may be used only for:

·         Language improvement,

·         Grammar and spelling correction,

·         Minor formatting assistance.

Any such use must not compromise the originality or intellectual ownership of the work.

Prohibited Use of AI

The following practices are not permitted:

·         Submitting manuscripts that are wholly or substantially generated by AI systems.

·         Using AI tools (including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, or similar generative AI platforms) to create the core scientific, academic, or analytical content of a manuscript.

·         Using AI-generated data, images, figures, tables, or references without proper disclosure and verification.

·         Including an AI tool or language model as an author or co-author.

Authors are fully responsible for verifying the accuracy, authenticity, and originality of all content included in their manuscripts, including any content that has been minimally assisted by AI-based editing tools.

Author Declaration

By submitting a manuscript to Research Churning, the corresponding author certifies that:

1.      The manuscript is original and has been prepared through the genuine scholarly efforts of the author(s).

2.      The work does not contain plagiarized, fabricated, or falsified material.

3.      No Artificial Intelligence tool or language model has been used to generate a substantial portion of the manuscript content, research findings, or conclusions.

4.      No AI system, including ChatGPT or similar platforms, has been listed as an author or co-author.

5.      The authors accept full responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and ethical compliance of the submitted work.

Editorial Action

If plagiarism, undisclosed AI-generated content, fabricated references, or any other form of publication misconduct is identified at any stage of the editorial or publication process, the journal may take appropriate action, including:

·         Immediate rejection of the manuscript,

·         Withdrawal of the submission,

·         Retraction of the published article,

·         Notification to the authors' affiliated institutions or funding agencies, where appropriate.
